About Fred and This Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of Fred, an AI assistant software product ("Fred" or "the Software") made available at letfred.ai by Six Days West Ltd., a company registered in Ohio, USA ("Six Days West," "we," "us," or "our").
By purchasing or using Fred, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the Software. Please read these Terms carefully before completing your purchase.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Six Days West regarding the Software.
What Fred Is
Fred is a personal AI assistant software application designed to run locally on your personal computer. Fred integrates with third-party AI model providers and enables you to automate tasks, manage files, communicate across messaging channels, and more — all from hardware you own and control.
Fred is sold as a one-time purchase. You pay once and receive a perpetual personal license to use the Software as described in these Terms. There is no ongoing subscription fee from Six Days West. Third-party AI model providers you choose to connect Fred to may charge their own fees, which are entirely outside our control and your responsibility.
License Terms
Upon completing your purchase, Six Days West grants you a limited, non-exclusive, personal license to install and use Fred, subject to the following conditions:
- Personal and own-business use. Fred is licensed to you, the individual purchaser, for your personal use — including use in running your own business (bookkeeping, invoices, customer follow-ups, marketing, and similar). Use by more than one person, reselling access to Fred, or offering Fred's capabilities as a service to third parties is not permitted under this license.
- One machine at a time. Your licence runs Fred on one computer you own at any given time. Reinstalling Fred on that same computer keeps working with your key.
- Transferable between your own machines — not to other people. Moving to a new computer? First release your old machine — in Fred's settings ("Release this machine"), or email [email protected] and we will free it for you, usually the same day — then install Fred on the new computer and activate with your key. Fred runs on one machine at a time. You may not sell, gift, sublicense, or transfer the licence to another person.
- No reverse engineering. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from the Software or any component thereof.
- No redistribution. You may not copy, distribute, publicly display, or make the Software available to any other person or entity.
- No modification. You may not create derivative works based on the Software without prior written permission from Six Days West.
All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by Six Days West.
Memory and Platform Limitations — Important Disclosure
Fred is built to remember. Over time he builds up context about you, your projects, and your preferences — that is a core part of what makes him useful.
Fred runs on OpenClaw, an open-source AI platform. As with all open-source AI systems at this stage, memory is not perfect — occasionally, context from earlier conversations may not be recalled with complete accuracy. This is a characteristic of the underlying open-source platform that Fred is built on, not a limitation of Fred himself.
We believe in being transparent about this before you buy. By completing your purchase, you confirm that you have read and understood this limitation.
Refund Policy
Fred is a digital software product. We offer a 14-day refund window from the date of purchase, subject to the conditions below.
How to request a refund: Contact [email protected] within 14 days of your purchase date with your order details. Refunds are processed via our payment processor within 5–10 business days. After 14 days from purchase, all sales are final.
Refund exclusion for disclosed characteristics: Refunds will not be granted where a request is based solely on the memory or platform limitations described in Section 4, provided the product is otherwise functional and accessible. These are disclosed characteristics of the platform Fred is built on, not defects. If you believe the product is genuinely malfunctioning, failing to operate at all, or is materially different from its description for any other reason, our standard refund process applies.
Statutory rights: Nothing in this section limits any statutory refund or withdrawal rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law. In particular, if you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, your statutory rights as a consumer remain fully intact.

Acceptable Use
You agree to use Fred only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use Fred to:
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or the rights of any third party
- Generate, store, transmit, or promote any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- Create synthetic media — including deepfakes, AI-generated images, or cloned audio — intended to deceive, defraud, harass, or cause harm to any individual or organisation
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Transmit any unsolicited commercial communications (spam) via Fred's messaging capabilities
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Software, its connected services, or any network or system connected thereto
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Software, connected systems, accounts, or networks
- Use the Software in any manner that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party
- Use the Software to engage in any activity that would constitute a criminal offence or give rise to civil liability
Six Days West reserves the right to terminate your licence immediately and without notice if you violate these acceptable use terms.
Intellectual Property — Ownership of Outputs
Our property: The Software, including its source code, design, structure, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by Six Days West Ltd. or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of the Software or its underlying intellectual property to you.
Your outputs: Content you create using Fred — such as documents, code, messages, or other materials generated through your use of the Software — belongs to you, subject to any rights held by the third-party AI model provider you are using. Six Days West makes no claim of ownership over outputs you generate.
Note on AI-generated content: The intellectual property status of AI-generated content varies by jurisdiction and is an evolving area of law. You are responsible for understanding and complying with applicable laws in your jurisdiction regarding any content you generate using Fred.
No Warranty — Software Provided "As Is"
The Software is provided to you "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Six Days West expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Any warranty that the Software will meet your specific requirements or expectations
- Any warranty that the Software will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components
- Any warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or suitability of any output generated by the Software or by the AI models it connects to
- Any warranty regarding the availability or continued operation of any third-party AI service that Fred connects to
You assume all risk associated with the use of Fred, including reliance on any output generated by the Software. No oral or written information given by Six Days West or any of its representatives shall create a warranty.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Six Days West and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of goodwill — arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Software, regardless of the theory of liability and even if Six Days West has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall Six Days West's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Software or these Terms exceed the amount you actually paid to Six Days West for the Software.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations may not apply to you, and our liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Six Days West Ltd. and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:
- Your use of or access to the Software
- Your violation of any provision of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property, privacy, or property right
- Any content you create, transmit, or store using the Software that causes harm to a third party
This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of these Terms and your use of the Software.
Updates and Continued Access
Six Days West may release updates, patches, or new versions of Fred from time to time. While we intend to support the Software and provide updates to licensed customers, we do not guarantee any particular update schedule, feature set, roadmap, or continued availability of the product or any connected third-party AI services.
Your purchase includes a perpetual personal licence to Fred and one year of software updates. The end of the included update window does not end your licence to use the Software.
Third-Party Services and AI Providers
Fred may integrate with or require third-party services, including AI model providers, to function. Your use of those services is governed entirely by their own terms, privacy policies, and acceptable use policies. Six Days West is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, conduct, or output of any third-party service.
You are solely responsible for:
- Obtaining any API keys or accounts required to use third-party AI model services
- Complying with the terms of service of any third-party AI provider you connect to Fred
- Any costs charged by third-party services you use in connection with Fred
Termination
By you: You may terminate your licence at any time by uninstalling and ceasing use of the Software.
By us: Six Days West may terminate or suspend your licence immediately and without notice if you breach any provision of these Terms, including the Acceptable Use provisions in Section 6. In the event of termination for breach, no refund will be issued.
Effect of termination: Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, and 16 — shall survive termination.
Export Control
The Software may be subject to export control laws and regulations, including those of the United Kingdom and the United States. You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations. You represent and warrant that you are not located in, or a national of, any country that is subject to relevant government export restrictions or sanctions, and that you are not otherwise prohibited from receiving or using the Software.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Ohio, USA, and you irrevocably submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Nothing in this section prevents Six Days West from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any jurisdiction where necessary to protect its intellectual property or other rights.
General Provisions
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Six Days West with respect to the Software and supersede all prior or contemporaneous negotiations, representations, warranties, and agreements, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter herein.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed from these Terms if modification is not possible. All remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Waiver. No failure or delay by Six Days West in exercising any right under these Terms shall constitute a waiver of that right. A waiver of any breach shall not constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same or any other provision.
Force majeure. Six Days West shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labour disputes, government actions, internet or network failures, or failures of third-party service providers.
No assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without the prior written consent of Six Days West. Six Days West may freely assign its rights and obligations under these Terms, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Notices. Any notices or communications under these Terms should be directed to [email protected].
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify customers by email or by posting an updated version at letfred.ai with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Software after updated Terms have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should cease using the Software.
