• It isn't perfect recall. Fred is built on the open-source OpenClaw platform, and context from earlier conversations may occasionally not be recalled with complete accuracy. We tell you this before you buy, because trust is the whole product.
• Thinking still travels. The memory stays local; but when Fred reasons with a cloud model, the relevant conversation context goes from your device to your chosen provider on your key — directly, with Six Days West never in the middle and zero telemetry collected. Prefer nothing to travel? Run a local model via Ollama and accept the honest trade in capability.
• It isn't surveillance. Fred remembers what you work on with it. It isn't scanning your life; it's keeping notes on the collaboration, on your hardware, where you can read them.
